Gap S/S 09 New York

pretty safe,boring,plain.
but at least the color palette is eye-candy.

Those loose cut lilac mens pants are interesting, definitely something I'd like to try on come spring.

eh.... it's okay
some of the pieces are unflattering on the models and i'm wondering what is that going to do on the 'average' person?

Why do companies keep trying to make colored jeans happen? The general public does not want pink or lilac jeans!

Hmm. I spot a few good basics but really, we've been seeing the same thing over and over again for years. Is that what the consumer really wants. Maybe. A reliable stop for basics but really...when do basics get...too basic?

That's why Patrick was brought on board at the Gap, though... So that he could revert the Gap "back to the basics."

I really love this collection. Personally, I can't live without my basic shirts, pants, scarves, bikinis, and sweaters, and I go to GAP for all that. If we didn't have a store like GAP with those bare necessities I think we would all be complaining. Unless you have the money to spend 300 dollars on a white tank top from the Row.

I actually think that these clothes will look much better on "real" people.
