Salvatore Ferragamo F/W 12.13 : Karmen, Kate & Sean by Mikael Jansson

You can never go wrong with Mikael Jansson, and Sean is really just screaming luxury here.

After the soft focus summery vibe of last seasons ads, I'm liking the about turn in these ads which are rich in colour, design and texture........well suited to the darker months.
Kudos to Jansson and nice to see Karmen making a return appearance for the brand. Sean is looking very dapper here and it all looks very expensive.

That's right I completely forgot about her in the F/W 10.11 ad but this time she is the only Female in the ad kudos to her!

I love the rich colors and textures. Better than last two seasons imo :)

That was quite unexpected to see Kate Moss in here. Love the setting and the mood of the campaign.

Karmen looks lifeless as always, and yes I agree with mikel I didn't expect to see Kate there! She looks amazing.

I'm incredibly surprised Kate has the campaign, I didn't expect that at all, she definitely delivers, as per usual!

i think Kate doesn`t suit Ferragamo spirit at all. they 3 looks like out of 3 different stories, and there isn`t any connection between models...looks like art director tried to tell us a story, but it turn out into a wax museum.

btw, this is the first time when Jansson shot Kate, is it even confirmed it `s mikael jansson, coz it look pretty much mario sorrenti? and the fact that Kate haven`t ever worked with him makes me doubt even more...

It is by Jansson as stated by wwd here :)

Kate Moss and Karmen Pedaru front Salvatore Ferragamo’s fall campaign, delivering the collection’s rigorous, military style that is combined with softer romantic elements. Photographed by Mikael Jansson in the sumptuous Russian embassy in Berlin with its antique tapestries and ornate furniture, the images reflect creative director Massimiliano Giornetti’s Czarist Russian inspiration this season. Moss is seen lying on a gilded, green leather dormeuse, Pedaru is captured standing in front of an antique painting, while Sean O’Pry poses against “a geometrical play of mirrors and fabrics that recreate fairy tale palaces,” said the company, embodying a “refined and cosmopolitan man.” The ads will break in international media in September.

To say I was surprised to see Kate as part of this campaign is a major understatement, but thrilled that she is there.
This campaign is the highlight of this season so far, I love the feel of it.
Kate brings a romantic side to it, while Karmen looks austere and almost military.
I cannot really see any connection between the 3 models either, but I couldn't care less, as each image speaks for itself in terms of selling the product in a very expensive and upmarket way. Sublime styling also.

I don't even see the point in Karmen being in the ad if Kate is so obviously the star. Having another female model just doesn't add anything to the campaign.

kate is doing such a great job. i wish karmen wasn't part of the campaign. she doesnt do anything for me here.
