Everyone is talking about Suvi Koponen, Finland’s only supermodel, whose career started after winning Mallikoulu-reality-tv-show. But where is Sanni Salminen? Salminen won the second season a year and a half ago, but we haven’t heard much from her since.
“I still live at home here in Äänekoski”, Salminen, 18, tells on the phone.
She decided to finish high school before modelling, unlike Koponen. Salminen is this spring’s graduate. Athletics have also taken her time, and there are games every week.
“I can’t leave sports, it’s such a big part of every day life.”
Salminen still wants to be a model. After baccalaureate she plans to move to Helsinki, start working first in Finland and then travel abroad. Last summer she already explored Milan. “I just have to be brave and try my hardest. I’ve had problems with how I present myself, but it’s not as bad as it used to be.”
