Seems to me she's always worn stripes from time-to-time. Personally, I find stripes to be classic, and to me, Sarah is a mix of classic and trendy. She manages to mix high/low or dressy/casual so well, which is why I assume Taylor looks up to her, since that's her aesthetic to a degree also.
