Sasha Pivovarova

It must be so dull for her to work with Karl for these shoots, you can see it in her eyes - she is dreaming of Meisel. Karl likes model to appear like lifeless fashion illustrations with no emotions and hold stiff poses. Basically, her limbs are not long enough and her face is too modern to suit this aesthetic.

not really liking the chanel hc lookbook  did she also do one for the resort collection?

love how busy and vibrant the roversi ed is...love all the shots except for the first one lol...really adore the portrait shot and the one with increased exposure  thx manuva :flower:

Every time someone says that Sasha is looking more and more like Stam, I want to weep. :(

I really like the Chanel press package, actually...

Maybe far fetched but in the Chanel press package she really reminds me of somebody else...

i don't think she looks like stam (and i luv stammy)
sasha looks a lot like gemma though, but much edgier imho.

Do I have alot of catching up to do or what...I missed this thread.

there was a photo of sasha in JPG couture show and she had that icy look stam is known for.

That's what's so neat about Sasha. With some makeup, she looks like Stam for a moment. Then mess her hair up a bit and with some lighting, she looks like Kate Moss (in the Heidi Slimane photos). Make her look surprised and with some more light on her face, she looks like Gemma. Give her some eyeliner, and she suddenly looks triple fierce.

Now THAT's versatile here =)

:hardhead: the sources: Charlie and the chocolate factory official site and this thread.

She looks awfully bored in the chanel images.

She could do so much better

Not really sure I agree that having longer limbs would help achieve this effect (or that the desired aesthetic backfired), but I think you raise an interesting point about Karl's photography and posing ideals. He's definitely one to view models as expendable mannequins, and Sasha is simply too distinctive to ever become so utilitarian. In her case, the medium is the message. :flower:

You can really see that in her eyes? You must have a sixth sense.
