They were effing AMAZING when I saw them at Splendour In the Grass. Easily the best live performance I have ever seen. Jake pole dancing with the microphone stand was oddly sexy! The best quote came from Ana though:

"Australia, a country founded by criminals and whores- now THERE'S a country the Scissor Sisters can f**king relate to!"



I love the story of how Ana and Jake met. She was a cabaret singer and he was a stripper, they met at a Halloween party in NY's West Village. She was dressed as a reject from Andy Warhol's Factory, he was dressed as a late-term backalley abortion!

That's absolutly the best way to describe them. I was smiling all through the new album. The music is fantastic, and they don't seem to take themselves too seriously.
