BRIONI GETS MOODY: Brioni is exploring artistic portrait photography through Paolo Roversi’s ethereal images for its fall ad campaign.
Roversi captured model Sean O’Pry in his studio in Paris using his signature long exposure. The images for the luxury men’s brand are marked by a warm light of soft sepia tones that look as if they were hand painted.
The overall mood also references the interior designs of Italian architect Carlo Scarpa, whose works were heavily influenced by his travels to Japan, similarly to Brioni’s collection for fall, said the company.
Creative director Brendan Mullane said “the idea was to focus on the face, on the expressions and on the clothes to give them a deeper sentiment through the defused light and chromatic nuances that Paolo is so amazing at creating. The sophisticated portrait images give the idea of true beauty.”
The campaign breaks globally on Monday.
