good idea, travolta! i don't know why i didn't see this earlier.
i love the lou reed poetry collaboration, i wish i could've seen that. the other image is also beautiful.
there is a special section for art direction and set design on this site www.clmus.com (thanks to lux*)

i especially love simon costin's work (which is no wonder since he mostly works with tim walker^_^)

i love the shona heath pictures, a nice amount of chaos.
do you know of any sites where one could find the set design of fashion shows? most pictures seem to be reduced to the models ?

another nice costin design for lack of better sources

yeah, i really like the shona heath pictures too, i wish i saw more of this originality is fashion/ design editorials. i'm not aware of any site that would have the set design for fashion shows, maybe showstudio would have some info on the designers? or another comprehensive site? i wish i knew too, i'll let you know if i find anything. ;)

also mm paris, i believe did some set design....

Wow, great thread travolta thanks!:flower:
I'll look into this more when I have a bit of time.
I especially love certain theatre sets and how they lend themselves to the mood of the play.

thanks fab! i studied theatre design for a little bit, it was interesting business cause it's all mocked up through miniatures! it's kinda like constructing doll houses. i'll try to dig up some more theatre stuff...

Sweet, this is something I would totally want to get into, I used to be a metal fabricator myself. I like the shots of empty sets too, that's something you don't get see a lot and it makes people forget all the work that goes into a shoot.
