So I have a wedding coming up in Jan. and I bought a white corduroy pant suit (also came with a mini skirt). I am really considering wearing the skirt to the wedding because I usually cover my legs up at these events and figured this would be a nice change.

The problem is finding a shoe (and matching shirt for inside the jacket). I don't want to do a black shoe/boot with white. I want something brown, beige, caramel, or something along those colours. I was thinking of a knee high boot but the thing is I don't want to come off as "sl*tty". Another thing is that I am pretty tall for a female, about 5'9" and I can't walk properly in high or thin heels.

Talk about problems!!! Any suggestions or pictures to post? I am going to try to find a picture of my suit or something close to it. If I can't find anything, I guess I'll just have to dress in it and take a pic with the digital cam!

I found my boots!!!!

Tell me what you think!!!

They are a calf hugging boot, no heel, and pointy toe on a square platform...

The coolest part of these boots is that you can wear them two ways. With the lace up things or without!
Who knew shoes came with extra attachments!! :)

This first picture is of one laced up and the other normal....Sorry I didn't take the pictures of the boots on my feet....lol they are on my bed....

OKKKKKK>>>>>I'm trying to post a JPEG file and it won't let me....why?

And the one shoe laced up. (I didn't spend time making sure I laced it perfectly but you get the general idea)

cute
although i am not too sure 'bout the square toe
butthe color def goes with that suit of yours ;)

Leyla,

The main reason I got those boots is because its a pointy toe on a square platform. That is pretty unique here.

So far they are the only ones I've seen that mix the two shapes together. As well, they are the first boots I've seen that come with attachments! LOL

Depending on my mood I can go classy or a bit trashy. Seeing as how its my cousins wedding, I perfer to be a bit classy. We'll save the trashier look for when I hit the clubs!

I was over at BabyJ's house today and saw them.

I have to say those are the perfect shoes for the girl from Texas hehe.
They look great with jeans.

The only thing I don't like is that they are not my size :(

Hi Im new to this message board...but i am HUGE SHOE FREAK!
I work in a shoe store, my parents own one, i sell shoes wholesale in Ontario, Canada, and i am moving to toronto to open my own shoe store.....

Just wanted to say I LOVE THOSE.....and yes...with jeans also..SUPER HOT...or denim skirt!

I think BabyJ caught the shoe lover's bug.

I give it a few more months and she'll have to kick her sister out of the apartment so she can turn her room into a shoe room.

i like the boots but to be honest :ninja: i would never wear them with a skirt in a wedding

Me neither, even though, I would wear them if it was a nice cramy tweed jacket, with a chocolate brown silk turtleneck, and matching tweed skirt, with the boots, and a nice chocolate brown/pinkish nude flowers as a pin.

Alejandro,

The boots were bought from a store called Bellini.

Lena,

The wedding is Jan.3, 2004 in Montreal, its going to be freezing. I think I am going to opt for the pants instead of the skirt.

I just love how comfortable they are to walk in. They don't have a high heel which is so good for me. I'm already tall enough, and I'm a klutz.

that's what I'm gonna say
I mean, the boots are NICE,
but wouldn't they look weird with a skirt in a WEDDING?

First, I'll say I would agree with you. If this wasn't a winter wedding in Canada... I'm used to temperatures that drop to -20° and below. Believe me, everyone will try to stay warm! At least she won't be wearing uggs...

If it's that cold, style and etiquette will have to be compromised.

Whether she wears the skirt or the pants, she'll need proper shoes for winter. :ninja:

I don't know if its just me but I think you guys are assuming I'm IN the wedding. I am just at guest AT the wedding. The shoes actually look really good with the skirt and pants.

Mind you, the shoes can be worn two ways, one with the laces and the other without. I'm not wearing the laces to the wedding. The shoe is more classy without the laces.

Tott,
Believe me, I have more than enough shoes for the winter, and I just bought a new pair today. Fortezza is right, I have caught the shoe bug. All I look at now when I go out is shoes, watches, and purses. And I wouldn't be caught dead in UGGS on a normal freezing cold winter day, much less at a wedding.
