Shoe Trends F-W '06

Cone heels and platforms?? I think they're intentionally making sure we won't want to wear these shoes for long, and be more than ready to go for the next trend when it comes around...

Of course I may be alone in my opinion :ninja: but I cringe!

I like thin heels but the only problem is the damage they incurr as you walk around in them!!!

For this summer I have bought a pair of shoes with a thicker heel(for durability) and a pair with thin heels as I couldn't resist a pair I saw in the shop!!!^_^

Has anyone got any suggestions to minimise damage to thin heels? Maybe it's the streets where I live, but my heels get wrecked pretty quickly!!!!

i havent seen alot i like. those snakeskin and tortoise mj sandals are great.

also, looks like theres a great pair of gucci patchwork pumps.

still early in the season though, im sure paris will bring more things i like

I love the cone heels, they remind me of the shoes Prada did for s/s 2001.

Chunky shapes/heels have definitly crossed over from the spring collections....I kind of like it.

And kind of an extension of the cone heel trend, I noticed some shoes with very interesting heel decorations.

Donna Karan with a diagonal metal plate running through the heel.

and tortoise spheres at Marc Jacobs:heart:

I wonder if it'll carry over to Milan and Paris.

Im madly in love with those... I want them really badly...

many of you wont remember this...
but vogue called grunge the worst trend of the 90's...
even though they had many issues calling it the best thing in the world..

i have a feeling that these chunky shoes are destined for that 'worst trends' list in a few seasons...
looking back...they will look very nasty...
:ninja:...
very 'victim-y'...

really good...:flower:
but i am seeing tons and tons of platforms and you didn't include that ...

...

so are we all seeing the platforms NOW???...

:lol::lol::lol:

Most of the shoes posted as a trend are so ugly imo...

i've been following the shoes at ysl with passion since spring 2005, those shoes raise a question, 'why didn't anyone else do this?"

i think the ysl blk patent shoes with all the straps are really good...

i'm all about the debut loafers (potentially a very collectible item) and the ones that followed them, i have no use for them, but i want to collect every colour!!!

i agree with that too. out of context, these shoes will look hideous. like the kind of shoe you find in back of a closet or in a thrift store and can't do anything but make a strange face at them and wonder what the hell the wearer had been thinking (even worse if the wearer was you). because they are so vile. pretty sure i won't be buying this chunky footwear.

I like the chunkier heels right now..I have the worst balance, so I always look silly in stilettos.
