*yum!* either way I am in love with those, actually saw them at a saks outlet store over the summer in a stunning deep purple--needless to say I had to be escorted out of the store by my boyfriend to keep me from purchasing them!! *sigh* who says all shoe purchases have to be practical?! especially when the price was seriously slashed!!

Im sorry, I am wearing my eye glasses and I dont see the diff? Can you clarify?

no problem...:)...If you look at the angle of the footbed incline, you can see the subtle difference. Also look at the heel heights. The pic on the right is a bit larger than the left and the heel is lower and not as vertical.
Hope that helps.

yes, tiny bit..
they are still so similar tho, gorgous in that gren I have never seen them that color!

Those are Gucci, Right...very nice...not crazy about them in that color, but black would be heaven:woot: ....they are from Tom Ford's last collection, am i right?

I would love to see him rock Charles Jourdan. That house has been in steep decline for a long time. They actually have only one store left in North America now....Miami Beach....but I digress... The black looks awesome. :)

I see what you mean Stilettophile.

I've also noticed this on other shoes. The runway versions have a high heel for the best look, but the production version often has a lower heel.

Presumably because a large proportion of women wouldn't be able to walk elegantly with the runway height heel (present company not included of course;)).

Most recent examples are the Clichy: runway heel 5":woot: , realworld heel 4" (though the 5" is available in "certain" stores; and the YSL tassel loafer: runway heel height unspecified but very high:woot: , realworld heel 3.5":yuk: . Makes all the difference in the world, too!

Oh yeah, and often it changes the entire aesthetic of the shoe. The one I really remember were those Chanel pairs with the giant rhinestone on the toe - the real world heel was so much shorter than the runway version and that lack of height just made it look so tacky!

I see a nuance with the first two, but definitely not a "Big difference in the two:" ;)

I agree that alot of the time shoes from the runway are tamed down, but alot of the time they are also left to be the same. Or, like someone mentioned with the Clichy, you can buy either. Dior does shoes that are very simple but have little elements of the Queen Mum, but you can also buy the Queen Mums. Not sure where, but you can... :innocent:

another photo of the guccis...

Bergdorf Boodman.

The heel height is not specified on BG, but they sure look the same to me.

However, the ones on Saks are ridiculously low and ugly.

Chanel Bling. Both ways.

Aha! Thank you for the pictures, Ms Prep!:flower: I saw the Saks version illustrated somewhere, and feared all was lost, that the real world would never see the real thing! At least SOMEONE carries the good versionB) . Okay, let's figure this out: BG's price, plus airfare from New Mexico...
