So I'm moving to New York in a couple of months. Being a Californian all my life, and one that doesn't travel too much, I have never seen or dealt with snow or any other form of weather that's below 50 degrees.

So can any of your New Yorkers recommend me some must-have things to prepare me for NY weather? I know it's a bit early but I'd like to be prepared. I'll be residing in the east village, male and cost isn't such a big deal. So anything would be appreciated.

Thanks!

you're moving in the summer...?
just bring what you have and buy the rest here mouko...

you're gonna find better stuff here anyhow, no?...

Can anyone tell me about a store called Century twenty-one? Is it exclusive to NY?

Oh yeah that's the plan, I'm just wondering what I should pick up when I'm there to prepare for the winter, that's the only thing I'm afraid of lol.

according to their website, they have 3 NY locations and 2 in NJ ;)

i've been to the one in Manhattan, NY and the place is huge and often packed. i admit their prices are great, but the stuff there tends to be messy, and the lines are longgg..:innocent:

the stuff is kinda random. you will probably find last season's as well as years old stuff, depending on what they have left. the good stuff tends to disappear quick. i always see people with huge bags of stuff from that store whenever i'm taking the train home :D
