I'm really surprised there's no thread for him. or maybe I just didn't find it

Anyway, he's one of the biggest influence to punk in general. "Live fast & Die young" was his motto. He died in the age of 22 after drug overdose. His & his girlfriends , Nancy Spungens relationship is easy to describe with a phrase : "Love kills".

i love his version of "my way"...has anyone here seen the film sid and nancy? its great..not to mention when he smeared blood all over him when the pistols were playing in the states in the 70s just cause he felt like it..and the crowd went crazy!

i'm a bit late to post in here, but i love sid - he had such a special part in my teenager years. sid wasn't a genius, or a songwriter or even a bass player - but it's amazing how important he became through the years - and all he did was to live a crazy life. nice to see there's a thread for him
