Sigrid is walking like every single show lol. I'm beginning to think her final show count is gonna rival the 69 shows she did during F/W 09.

I'm new here, but I do follow her thread, have done so for a long time. Anyway, can I just say she's if not THE, then certainly one of the most beautiful of the current crop of models? There's absolutely nothing 'elusive' or 'edgy' about her beauty, like say Karlie or Abbey. She's so in-your-face, blatantly beautiful, and it's not very frequently that one comes across these faces. Glad she's doing well, and I'm sure we'll see her everywhere this season, and hope her omnipresence translates into campaigns and print work as well.

She's so in-your-face, blatantly beautiful, and it's not very frequently that one comes across these faces.

actually i disagree with this part and find sigrid's beauty the least "imposing" among all the models in recent years - there is almost a watery quality to her beauty, soft and quiet, and if it contains that profound sweetness and purity, only the a minimal amount of that sweetness and brilliance can be tasted upon first encounter; only after a long, long time could one see how essential and indispensible it is to us. what is truly amazing is how nothing changes after such a monumental discovery of beauty, that the girl retains her constant maidenly tranquility and unadorned grace

Oh yes, I don't think she has an 'in-your-face' beauty, instead she has a unspoken softness and serenity which makes her so beautiful in a pure way.

But I do agree that faces (and personalities) like Sigrid's are very rare on a daily basis

idk, maybe the way I see beauty is different, but I find Sigrid very 'obviously' beautiful at first glance. Not many people are fans of this aesthetic, and feel that an element of imperfection is what elevates a face to the rarefied realm of beauty. In that way she's different from girls like Natasha or Lara whose looks command instant attention, and though they are undoubtedly some of the greatest models of today, I think they are a little too overwhelming to be called 'beautiful'. Totally agree with you on the grace and tranquility, though. Just my opinion.

and just to catch up on the topic, i actually think what pavonine meant was that
Sigrid's type of beauty is the obvious, straightforward kind; it's beauty that is very
easily recognized and doesn't need to be cloaked into various interpretations,
unlike some models
