Maybe it's because the stylists also have a say. Carine Roitfeld definitely had a say on some of the recent girls. Or maybe it's because Sigrid has more of a classic beauty so they think she fits jewellery and beauty ads. The girls who do the RTW campaigns tend to have more non-traditional looks or have a bit of a Coco Chanel look. For example, Karl liked Ines because she resembles Coco.

Karl once say in a french interview that there was "a big wall" between Chanel Fashion, Chanel Jewelry, Chanel Perfume and Chanel Beauty, Chanel Beauty and Perfume is almost an other brand, he doesn't have a word to say about who they choose. He even said that he didn't like Audrey Tautoo for N.5, so ...
 
Well, I think it's good than Chanel have been using her continuously instead of girls that comes and goes.
And yes, she indeed have that very classy-classic look and in jewellery ads are just perfection !

I can understand Karl not having a say in Chanel beauty and fragrance, but he's certainly got to be involved with Chanel jewellery in some capacity.

I think Karl's got certain 'phases' - he had a Freja phase which he got over, then a Saskia phase, which I think he still is in. There's the eternal Baptiste phase. Still, I suppose one could always hope. I mean, it's not like Sigrid's missing out on big bucks or anything, given fragrance and beauty campaigns pay a lot more than mainline ones. But she fits the aesthetic so perfectly, and given that she's slowly but surely nearing the end of her career (she's walking increasingly less number of shows and so forth), and given that she hasn't yet quite transitioned to the mainstream like say, Karlie or Toni or Jourdan have, I hope she lands at least one Chanel campaign before career is over.
