Glad I've found this thread (and happy to see who opened it)... after hearing about the recent moves at Vogue Russia, I felt "pushed" to have a look back at who were the major players there for these last few years. And browsing these five pages reminded me of my feelings when buying some VR issues years ago, I was quite impressed by his work with colors, using bright and bold a lot of times and how this didn't affect the aesthetic the way you could expected. It brings some "uptempo" vibe for sure but never turns to sugary or jolly in any way, always keeping some depth and darkness as odd is might sound sometimes. I think the story who illustrate that feeling best is the story with Rachel Clark/Josh Olins (from 2007, posted on first page). Got another one in mind that I don't think I've seen posted but would need to find back the references. Inspiring anyway.
