Wow oomarhatelier! Your drawings are stunning! :woot:
What sort of media do you use-what kind of paints? And have you used little glitter particles on your drawings or is it little white dots. It's very effective whatever it is! ;)
I absolutely suck at design sketches, I just want to make the clothes instead of doing the drawings for them! Ha ha, I'm lazy in that way I guess. But I really admire people that can do amazing illustrations!
I want to see more!

This was the year I got my first illustration jobs for designers. It's a tough career to start up and is very much "feast or famine" - if you want to eat regularly you'll find yourself hacking out technicals while your "art" festers... It's all freelance work so you're the boss - and responsible for doing a good job on time!
All I did to get the job:
made a portfolio.
put on my best dress and walked my portfolio all over town, showing it to any fashion person who would pay attention (they're busy so you have to catch them at a good time - be polite and patient)
kept doing that for a long time without getting any job...
until I got one.

voila! You have to practice what you do all the time because they want you to be fast, be able to interpret what they want, and to understand clothing (if they're designers)
One thing that really helped me was going to the library, picking out some how-to-fashion illustrate books that looked good and working through some of the excercises - it's not arty but it'll get you started.

If you have a real talent and confident style then get into the editorial/advertising illustration. That's where you can get a little bit crazy and arty because it's not just about the clothes. That's what I want to do. But I am still refining my style and loosening up my art - my fashion-designer training sometimes gets in the way of drawing as fast and loose as I like.

love it ..:flower: ur sketches are so mature & the lines are relaxed & confident.
good luck in ur new job

here are some of my early sketches:blush:
they are an homage to Yves Saint Laurent, I redraw his fashion & make-up ads. in my own way.
they are not really mature sketches, & I used to do them for myself to express my passion toward YSL.
