Sketchy Behavior- Fashion Illustrators

great pics everyone, thanks!

i'm a huge fan of fashion illustration and i recently picked up a book from the library called Stylishly Drawn by Laird Borrelli. It's a great book featuring a lot of current artists. I highly reccomend it for those who love fashion illustration! :flower:

Thanks, Spacemiu, for starting this lovely thread. I adore Deanne Cheuk's work as well.

My favourite fashion-related illustrations are Julie Verhoeven's trippy designs. And I like how grafitti artist Fafi has transferred some of her "girls" onto clothing.

I think Nylon always has some interesting illustrations in each issue.
Julie:heart: & Fafi are great

I love fashion illustration, great idea for a topic. I really like some of the ones Space posted, especially these two...

I adore this thread!
A much needed breath of fresh air in the supporting cast section.
I'm going to show this to my sister who wants to become an illustrator!

Fabulous, I love the simplicity and the subversion suggested in it.

Some more about Richard Gray
http://www.jcreport.com/mailer/issue55/index.html

Modesty is fashion illustrator Richard Gray's middle name. In fact, he's so reticent that he refuses to have his portrait published anywhere. But who needs to show off when you've already bagged some of the most prestigious assignments in your field? Gray has submitted so many gothic-inspired illustrations to the almighty Alexander McQueen that it's almost fair to label him the designer's in-house illustrator. But Gray respectfully disagrees: "I wouldn't by any stretch of the imagination call myself McQueen's in-house illustrator. But I have been fortunate enough to work with him on many, many projects over the years." Apart from a close collaboration with designers McQueen and Boudicca, Gray has illustrated the costumes for From Hell, the Hughes brothers' film starring Johnny Depp; made his name as a recurring contributor to Vogue Italia, immortalizing the couture shows; and drawn the unforgettable Agent Provocateur Sauce ads. A quick glance at Gray's inimitable Victoriana-style drawings confirms that he has no reason to be shy. We thank him for providing us with this issue's cover.

I love his work, so imaginative and interesting. Some of it stikes me as kind of Dali-esque the way he works the real and the surreal together in the same piece.

^ :woot: i remember seeing those in that Dirty website:heart:

i love that place. they have some great interviews.
