Please share some tips about how you should care for your skin in different climates! I'm especially interested in how I should deal with very humid and damp conditions, and also cold and dry climates.:cry::blush:

My knowledge = not good. In a cold climate I feel my skin becomes dryer, so I use some lip balm etc. But in a humid + damp climate I'm not sure how I should deal with that.

well let me just tell you something, something i've learned for the past month and a half.

I wear makeup everyday, its a known thing, from very sheer to the highest coverage, but since the beggining of last february, i haven't worn a drop of makeup, just eyebrows, cause i need them, but other than that, no coverage at all.

you'd think, the skin is going to get better, not that i've had any issues with my skin, but i guessed a break from makeup would do good.

oooh no sweetie, my skin has been so bad for the past month, breakouts everywhere, excessive oiliness (that i've always had, i embrace it and call it glow honey  ) but seriously, i think that having my skin so exposed to nature has caused me to break out insanely, almost like, the makeup was working like a shield.

either that, or my skin is going through some serious detox.

so, in miami its mostly hot as balls and humid all the time, so definitely oil free moisturizer is a good thing, carrying some facial wipes are good as well for the day just to cleanse, especially if you're walking around all day.

when it gets cold, its a matter of using a dry skin moisturizer which will have some oils in it, and that will keep your skin from feeling like a mask and whatever.

i dunno

For cold climates - moisturize a ton! I live in Chicago and winters can be brutal on your skin.

For warm climates - someone else who is more used to warm/humid climates might have to step in here, but I just use a lighter and oil-free moisturizer in warmer weather, and I use a toner in the morning. And of course sunscreen!

I find that the summer is better for my skin. Since the fall, my skin has been going crazy. My skin is very dry, but I keep getting whiteheads. Not a ton at once, but one after another, and they keep leaving brown marks. I can't wait until the summer.

any kind of facial wipes in mind ? :o
i used my sister's a few days ago.. it is for removing makeup but it didn't work, didn't remove any oil.
i also used kleenex once in the taxi, but it didn't work either

now that it's summer, it has been really hot and sunny and my face gets so oily so quickly.. people tell me my nose is sweating  it's the shiniest part.

long time ago there were some exchange students from japan who gave me these green wipes.. i don't know what they were made of but they felt rubbery and they soaked up all the oil super well. and the oil/dirt showed up very black on the wipe

on my travels to countries with very high humidity I was always surprised how perfectly my skin feels in such climate - it's strange but my skin doesn't look greasy at all (mine is very oily) and I never have pimples. And when I come back home to drier climate - it all comes back - shiny skin and pimples etc

^ hmm my skin was like that when i was much younger..
the sun did wonders

maybe it's diet and maybe lack of sleep.. or caffeine :ninja: i notice sugar (even a little everyday) totally ruins my skin

I would take that as a good thing...like your skin is sort of de-toxing, and "breathing" for once.
I went off birth control last month, & I got so sick...nauseous, fever, from my body trying to get the hormones out of my body. Kind of the same idea, so I think if you stick with it, your skin will get used to being sort of "free".
