Sofia Coppola

Ho-hum about the wedding dress, but loving that post-wedding strapless poppy red dress with the espadrilles, absolutely great on her

I love that the wedding dress was all tulle; it probably looked lovely close up and dancing the movement would be gorgeous.

And yes, that red dress looks fabulous; in the close up of post #130 when she's holding Romy on her knee and looking right at the camera, she is glowing! Lovely complexion and lipstick!

Puh... what can I say to all these pictures.

Sofia is the queen of chic and understatement. She looks beautiful - despite not being a classical beautiful woman. I adore every single outfit she wore - and HOW she wore it!

I find her wedding dress gorgeous  Even better than what I expected.

And the four of them are such a lovely family ^_^

After all the overload of the over the top Kardashian wedding it's wonderful to see such an intimate, low key wedding where the point isn't to show you're rich.

I'd love to have this kind of wedding! She looks gorgeous and Thomas seems so sweet.

YES! One of the reasons we are so happy for the couple is that it was a refined and intimate affair, not some tacky show for the media that we have heard and seen too much of.

I think its just so *her*. TBH I really didnt imagine for one second she would wear a traditional bridal gown.

I agree ... the neckline and special skirt detail echo past choices, while also looking like (but not screaming) Alaia. I think it's quite, quite lovely ...

Those Grazia pics are lovely. I agree with you guys the wedding dress is so her. I would totally wear it.

The red dress is cool. I want those espadrilles. I wonder if they are Marc Jacobs.

^ that would be a really nice touch if it is. representing two of her favorite designers on her wedding day.

^ Thank you!

I wonder: Does Sofia speak a lot of French? I mean, it would seem obvious that she does, given that she married a Frenchman and now resides in France. But I am not sure one needs to speak a lot of French in Paris, for e.g.

^ I remember she spoke French at an awards ceremony in France a few years ago when she got an award for Lost in Translation and she did fairly well. But then she had probably practiced...
And yes, you'd better know how to speak French if you live in Paris ;)
