Hi guys. Im 14 and have been using skincare products for 2 years now... but i tend 2 swap and change because i havent been happy with the products. I am very pale and have tried chanel, la prairie and yves saint laurent but havent been happy with the results . I really just need a skincare routine that i can stick to. Any help at all would be great guys. Thanks. :flower:
P.S. IM A BOY. :D

heyyy! im 14 too(but im a girl lol) you seem to be using pretty expensive brands there, not that there's anything wrong with that. I use clinique and it has made my skin great, but like all teenage skin not perfect.
Perhaps you should go to the dermatologist and he/she can check out your skin and tell you whats best for your skin?

what exactly is bothering you about your skin?

I think probably a large part of your issues is you are using brands that are very rich (as generally they are aimed at an older clientele who need that to moisturize their skin) I would opt for something cheaper which probably won't overwhelm your skin with too much moisture and products you don't need.

thanks guys for replying. hi acester. :D sometimes i just feel my skin can be a bit blemish prone and sometimes not a very even skintone. What clinique products have you used. The only clinique things i have used is the self tan and all about eyes and i really liked them :flower:

well i sue the three step skin care regime and the spf25 sunscreen. but recently they have bought out a mens range. i haven't checked out the products lol..because i dont really need to:lol: I agree with what Meg says it does make sense.

is the cliniqe self tan thing good..i was thinking of getting it for next summer..i am rather on the pale side too^_^

yea the self tan for body / face is really good.... it dosent look obvious either, when i had it on my friends from school thought i had been on holiday. and because it's tinted its totally fool-proof. hope this was of some help :flower:

For skincare, I've had good luck with Erno Laszlo products. They cater to all skin types so I'm sure you'll be able to find something that suits your needs. I would also recommend La Mer's oil absorbing lotion - keeps me matte all day :flower:

Highly recommended! I just bought it for the first time about a week ago and I love it! The eye balm is awesome, too :flower:

Well, skincare is my specialty! After several years of changing routines and numerous visits to dermatologists etc, wasting hundreds of £.

After trying everying you can think of from rich vitamin E products, to dermabrasion I concluded that less, really is more.

The problem with most of the brands you mentioned (chanel, la prairie and yves saint laurent), is... well... they're crap. They're fashion companies, not skin care specialists, more money is spent on packaging and marketing these products than on developing them. Just read the label, the things in there are insane, several types of colourants, perfume, stabalisers, fats... you name it.

At a young age there is no need for excessive products, simply clensing is enough. I found that the best product bar far is Dove extra sensetive Soap with warm water... Thats it! Nothing else!

Aside from that, keeping a good diet and drinking water, taking a multi vitamin tablet and 1 tab of Vitamin E 600ui before bed every night, is all you need through your teen years. When you get older products may be more bennificial, but they won't stimulate anything good to happen in your skin that isn't already happening at your age.

Once you pass the barrier of 17-18+ years old things may go a little differently, some people need a helping hand other people just have flawless skin naturally.

As for fake tan, thats not really a skincare product, more a beuty product. Personally I think St Tropez is pretty good, but everyone has their own favourites.
