Split Ends

some said the product was noisy, cheap looking and time consuming but I think I might give it a try - your hair looks good to me.
I can agree with these, it makes some noise, it's pretty cheaply made (then again but I'm not going to throw it around :D) and it is time consuming, it takes me one hour to do my whole head (and my hair is pretty thin). But still, I love the result and I don't regret buying it, even my sister wanted me to cut her ends and she said her hair was so much softer and shinier after using it.

Thanks for you compliments :flower:, but believe me, my hair still needs a lot of work, it's naturally thin and damaged from lightening, straightening and curling. I stopped using flat iron and curler like a month ago and I plan to take better care of it from now on, so maybe one day I can be really happy with it.

I have never heard of this Split- Ender but it looks pretty interesting. I have yet to decide if I want to grow my hair out (it's at my collar bones) or keep it at this mid-length. However, the split ends have to go. As a compulsive highlight addict, my split ends are intense. After I get my hair cut it only takes a day or two for the ends to come back. I hate it and I'm running out of products to at least mask the problem.

I feel your pain everyone! :D

I have fine hair, not straight, not curly - but wavy and in humid conditions it goes into ringlets underneath - so I straighten it which leaves me with zillions of split ends

I haven't got the split ender yet but I think I'm going to try it combined with the Redken Anti Snap and hope for some slight improvement!

so now my hair is in the same condition as 4 weeks ago when i trimmed it. full of slipt ends.
my hairstylist said i have to cut a big chunk so they d go away; but i m not gonna do it in one time. next month as i ll go to do my roots i ll cut maybe 2or 3 cm.
i haven t dyed the whole head since november in hope it d be better but it doesn t seem to have worked.
it s pretty much because i had really blond hair and when i went brunette the lower part was pretty much dead so now i need to grow it out and get rid of the dead part.

Split ends are the worst y'all. My hair is short right now, and I'm trying to grow it to below my shoulders. It takes so long. I am thinking about trying the split ender gadget now, once my hair gets long enough. I usually just slop a bunch of shine serum on my hair to cover up the crunchy ends, but that just makes my hair kind of gross and greasy.

i put serum too to cover up the split ends

do u know where i can get the split ender in canada?

I've been eying them on Ebay. Perhaps one of the ebay vendors would ship to Canada? I've only ever seen it sold online.

You've got me hooked on it. Yesterday I ordered the Split Ender from Ebay.com. Now I have to wait for at least 3 weeks

I have used the split ender.. years ago.. it is really good.. I will have to buy it again.

Anyway the split ender dosen't really get rid of the problem anyway, just the symptoms.

I am using Liquid Keratin spray in treatment. It uses a patented system of enzymes and keratin that builds up gradually in the hair, and lasts up to 6 weeks. My hair has much less breakage and split ends to worry about now. It also "mends" some of your split ends and makes them sit flat.

I have also heard good things about "3 more inches" shampoo and conditioner.

i wouldn't use a serum its just a cover up but doesn't do anything for you. what i do and my hair looks fantastic is i spend- ok don't laugh i spend about an hour 3 days a week going through my hair and using professional scissors and trimming them off myself. it actually becomes addicting. it really helps instead of cutting 52032 inches off your hair at once just cut the bad ones of yourself.

i bought split enders and its useless it just cuts your hair and may cut split ends too but it makes your hair thinner because it randomly cuts hair that is sticking out

^^^^^^^
I am growing out a pixie, otherwise I would totally be doing that. It's too short right now for a search and destroy mission.

Tresseme (sp) has a new line of products out here specifically deisgned for hair with split ends, but I'm always sceptical if shampoos and conditioners like this actually work?

Will try the Redken anti-snap. I have always had really awful split ends - not helped by use of heat styling like blow drying, straightening and curlers. The only thing I've found to have helped is to not comb your hair when it's wet, to always use a wide toothed comb and lots of heat protection. I try to get a trim about every six months or less and operate the 'search and destroy' tactic in the short term - using hair scissors I remove the worst offenders now and then...

I have anti-snap at the moment and it is doing a lot good things in my hair!!!

Altough, there is still spilt ends in my hair all over and i think i have to cut it for good and start all over again...no pixie style but something like Ashley Olsen have here
i have a lot longer hair than Ashley there and it hurts to think about cutting it, but healthy hair is what i dream of.
