I have a pair of Frye flat boots, they're a few years old, I got them from a vintage shop about 6 months ago and they've been great....but when I put them on last week the right boot has developed a squeak!
Not a quiet one either, this is an embarassingly loud squeak, and I can't wear them out like this
So I took it in to a cobblers today and they said there was nothing they could do, because its the metal bar (?) inside, and they cant get to it.
Is there really nothing I can do about this? Should I try more shoe repairers, or give up on my favorite pair of boots?
