Starbucks coffee??

Yeah we pretty much have independent coffee shops on every majour corner (half of them can't even make my drnk decently) and then a Starbucks within 3 miles in every direction. I can count 10 in my area alone. This is Seattle though.

I go to Starbucks because heyr'e the one place I know for sure will let my pay for my 5 dollar order with a card. I always forget to have cash on me.

when i went to seattle i swore i smelled coffee about 5 miles out before i hit the city...i thought i died and went to coffee heaven!

there are 3 starbucks shops all within a 2 mile radius of my house.

 I have none. The area I live in isn't really invested by any major corporations, though you might think that's a good thing, I have to drive everywhere...

A friend of mine loves to travel the N.Y. subways with this stanless steel/rubber $35 Dean & DeLuca Travel Coffee Mug- the cup itsself costs probably $1 but you know trendy names. Anyway, their coffee is not for someone on a budget (if you buy it to go) so she carries it because of the name on the cup. Oh... sometimes I just want to take it out of her hands and step on it:lol:

Urgh Starbucks makes disgusting coffee and their Frappucinos taste just like ice - really watery!

Give me Coffee Republic any day especially their MOCHA FREEZERS - they are goooooooorrrgeeoouss! And of course, the Mocha Frescato from Costa Coffee.

I miss the coffee bean!! My trip out to LA made me fall in love with the place, and can't wait to go back!! :p

Anyone tired Starbucks Coffee Almond Fudge ice cream? Say waht you want about the over priced coffee but their ice cream is quite tasty.

I am addicted to their shaken iced green tea lemonades. Those are so yummy!

i never thought of coffee as an accessory! i drink it when i want to drink it and i drink or hold a cup in my hand as i am drinking it.. but not to have it as an accesory

i think it is kind of strange to have coffee as accessories lol

starbucks is.. kind of blah. i can drink it sometimes but i prefer coffee bean :p

I just wanted to add something to the converstation about "everyone" having $2 at their disposal to drop into starbucks. This is generally true for the majority of the population of course. I mean I'm a pretty poor college student in NY and I still manage to spring pretty regularly for my Venti latte.

But, I was in a starbucks yesterday night and this older guy comes in, probably 60's. He wasn't dressed so that you'd look at him and think "oh, he's homeless" He walks in, looks in the little round trash recepticle that starbucks has built into their counters and then keeps walking back to the bathroom, I was sitting at a table by myself nearby, that's the only reason that I noticed. It did seem like kind of strange behavior though. Well, the guy was in the bathroom for about 30 sec. comes back out and goes to the trash area again. He looks around really fast and then grabs an empty cup out of the garbage and fills it with some milk that they reserve for coffees. He then went over to the little counter area and proceeded to pretend that he was sitting there and enjoying a coffee like everyone else. I don't typically take notice of homeless people or beggars on the street, but this just broke my heart for some reason. So on my way out I bought a coffee and gave it to him. He was really grateful.

That was awfully nice of you.

haha that's great. so true! i feel a little bit like a celebrity when i come strolling into school iced caramel latte in hand :)

It is actually so weird, but I do feel a tad bit cooler when I am walking around with my coffee. It is like instant self-confidence in a cup or something!

haha, i noticed that too. i never realized how much coffee meant to some people...

If coffee meant anything to them, they would not drink it out of a paper cup:doh: while crossing the street. They would take five minutes to drink it inside in a thick white china cup, like civilized people.

.....and let me tell you about my cool London girlfriend, asking for "un latte" in a restaurant in Rome. She got a glass of milk and was incensed, and the waiter: "Signorina, si dice caffe latte, caffe latte"

Yeah, dude "latte" means milk!! Thats just dumb, starbucks language is not the real world.
