Dazed & Confused April 1998
Weird and Wonderful
interview by Harriet Quick
all photography by Steven Meisel (reprinted)

scanned by me

I scanned it partially (skipping the reprints from Vogue Italia) for @aracic a while ago, but didn't end up sharing it on forum so far. It's pretty interesting that Meisel ended up agreeing for an interview for Dazed, since it had less profile than i-D or The Face had at time.

A fun read. I wish that you scanned all the pages to see the photographs that were selected by the publication. I know that we must respect Meisel's choice of privacy these days, but it would be nice to at least see a new self portrait.

Dazed is oversized and stitching the reprint pages would be nightmare, so it's why I skipped but I know what exact issues they come from. The following reprints Dazed used are from cover shots from Vogue Italia December 1997 (3rd spread) and March 1997 (8th image in post), the two page spread between interview pages was the first shot from other editorial from him in July 1997, An Interpretation.

I can scan it when I'll have the energy to do (as didn't scan in a while) if you want to see it in full.

Please do not worry about it. Thank you for sharing the interview.

Not scans, but you can see the full article including reprinted images in these snapshots I got off of eBay a while ago.
