Brothels are have been around forever and will stay around forever- as long as there is sex.
I think what Ida said is one reason it needs to be recognized and made legal and be monitored like a liquor liscense or something like that.

it is legal in germany..
but it doesnt change what ida is saying about women being exploited..
and it certainly doesnt change the fact that women will choose or be 'forced' to engage in it..
i think it's a problem that runs far deeper than sting's sex life...which is why most people are laughing this off ida..

* not that i'm justifying it...and i dont find it funny at all..
but i think what people are making fun of is the fact that sting's possible visit to a brothel is making news..
they're not laughing at the very sad reality of it all..which is that women do this every day all over the world and people pay to be a part of it..

I hate, hate, hate men who goes to brothels. That is one thing i cannot stand. I feel so bad for the girls. You would have to be in a really bad place if you choose (or get forced) to have sex with strangers for money. Does anyone ever think about that? In Denmark it's a huge problem that women from Eastern Europe and Asia are sold to brothels, raped, beated and forced to have sex with 20 guys a day. I think that anyone who visits brothels should realize this and stop going.

I completely agree. It is so degrading and abusive (to say the very least). We should no longer tolerate a "boys will be boys" mentality about it either.
