I'm not sure this list is innovative or too grand but I do like a lot of the designers

But hey at least they're not repetitive in their choices,for once. But one I feel they're missing is Maria Cornejo.

Is it bad that I like Barbara Bui for the sole reason of my sharing the same last name as hers?

I do like her clothes too, but they're ultra cool cuz of the name thing.

It would be kind of nice if Vogue,for once,expanded their horizons just a bit more. I mean I can think of an even better designer in somebody like Christian Wijnants than say,Vena Cava. And Y3.....I think it's safe to say we all know of whom and what that is,no? Nice attempt but rather hit and miss in their assesment,really.

Umm...I would venture to say that we on tFS do 100 times better of a job when it comes to searching new and obscure talents than some of the tripe they come up with.

I definately agree with you there scott..... I was kind of shocked Y3 was on there.. since umm duh that name is a tad recognizable.

I was kind of suprised that Tahari was in there..

Why does it say Loreal Feria behind the Vena Cava show?

Vogue's picks always seem to be very calculated and predictable - it's as though they wait to see whose made an impression and simply list names based on hype. Not to say that I don't love some of these collections, but I think Vogue should be a little more innovative in their choices

i'm surprised alice roi is up there...she emerged on the scene awhile ago, and has received some bad reviews. i did like some of her collections..there is a certain quality of her clothing i really like..i think she put it "dressing up in her mum's clothing"

most of these designers are like 'ancient' see >marongiu, barbara bui (actually a mass production brand), Pierrot(also around for ages and semi mass production), Tahari and of course good old Andrew GN.. maybe the article should be 'fifteen to re-discover' cause there are hardly any 'real new' names on this list..

anyway, from this selection, i'll stick with the work of Gary Graham and Charles Anastase

tahari is the oddest one to me...because it's truly a mass market contemporary sportswear and career brand...it might be interesting to note here that i recentlly heard that tahari will be avertising big time this coming fall...and have hired some big people to work on the campaign...

might be connected?....

The only stand outs are Charles Anastase and VPL, Patrik Rzepski is good but that was not his best collection by far.

ahhh...good background on this...I wouldnt want to jump to any conclusions but...thats really sickening. the average consumer just tryin to keep up with whats in or out gets tossed around in a greed-fest. what else is new.
