Superfine Jeans

i have both acne and superfine. for blue denim, acne has superfine beat...thicker, and better shades of blue, but for jet black jeans, nothing beats superfine imho. for the most part liberty's fit close to hex sizing, maybe a tad smaller.

^^thanks for the responses! i was actually looking at the black superfines with the slight sheen as a backup to the black jeans i already have. the ones i have now are acne hex in the cash wash, which had a sheen, too, but then i washed them and it went away...

i like acnes because they hold up really well after repeated wears. stretching out is a major pet peeve of mine, and the acnes always seem to bounce back to size. i was just concerned that maybe the superfines didn't bounce back quite as well.

^ I love the cash wash! It exists in the men's 'Max' cut, but it isn't slim enough for me as I would like it to be. Instead, I have a pair of Superfine jeans that is really similar to the cash wash, which is a wax coated denim.

I have a pair of grey Superfine jeans that had a sheen to them, but it got washed away which is really unfortunate.

And I agree with luckyme. Acne has a wider selection of choices for blue denim.

Can someone please help me find these bondage 'Sly' jeans as shown below? I seen them on sevennewyork.com a while back, but they were sold out. TIA!!

its harder and harder these days to find superfine jeans since they became part of pierspa which is disappointing . to me, these are the best black jeans ever done in so many good styles. they would detail them with zippers and black on black texture for a very unique look every season. forward by revolve did order a style called chase which i luckily grabbed before they sold out but sadly they may be the last of a brand i adore. why is it when something really good comes along it fades away and the bad **** stays around too long...

for those who still love them, here are the chase ones.

Yeah, the FW08 and SS09 collections were a bit in limbo due to the transition the brand was undertaking, but there is nothing wrong with Pier. They've put out great products for Alaia, Balenciaga and Chloé to name a few. The Superfine AW09 women's collection is the best collection I've seen from Superfine. The lookbook, featuring Lazareanu, is out on superfinelondon.com now. The jeans with leather details in their signature admiral stripe pattern are off the hook. I'm not sure what I think about the SS10 collection, though...but AW09 is amazing.

agree, nothing with wrong with pier, they have a great lineup and the styling improvements def show in the chase jeans i just got. i think this is their best season yet...just hope they have a resurgence in presence soon. havent seen ss10 just yet. maybe you could post some pictures.

It's a bit ironic that Superfine did rock-chic pretty much perfect three years ago, but their distribution was ruined right before rock-chic exploded. And now when they are on trend, the market is extremely difficult to penetrate for premium denim lines (that is; unless your name is Current/Elliott).

All Superfine needs to do then is send out a crapload of free jeans to bloggers for giveaways, etc... just like Current/Elliot did

And sign BPCM... But another clear difference between Superfine and C/E is that Superfine is doing the old school european two collections a year schedule, while C/E is pumping out new fashion styles every single month. Considering that high street is strangling every single trend, one can't keep showing ones jeans collection six months before delivery...the trend will be over before the product hits the stores.

superfine def had their hand on the dial from the get go with kate moss and the other positioning they did. they had the best cuts and the vibe that was visionary, at least imho. now, with even better design and some backing surely they can increase their brand recognition if they want to. the newer lines dont come close to comparing...so why are stores dropping them? the timing is right for them to get on the racks and in magazines NOW, especially with the current line-up being as good as it is. the Irina spread would have kicked butt in W.

I love superfine but had to give up on them since they're all too skinny for me. I'd literally get blisters trying to pull them up my calves and knees and then they'd be baggy in the thighs and waist. It's really unfortunate since they have some great styles like you said.

forwardforward happily made a liar out of me and posted some new jeans from the new season.

It's a bit of a mystery to me as well...they work with very good showrooms in most markets, prices have decreased, qualities are better... But on the other hand they were in the best stores, and those stores lost quite a bit of money on the brand with ****e sell-through the last 3-4 seasons, so I can imagine that it is hard to get back into these accounts - especially in todays market which is rather unforgiving. For a brand you then have to decide if you're going to try and wait for these accounts to come around, or if you should start targeting the second best stores. I'm not sure which strategy Superfine is pursuing, and I guess it differs from showroom to showroom.

the new showroom they are with is so poor and it is not sitting with the right brands... so they are being shown to the wrong retailers..
i dropped them!
when Giles's (Deacon) agent represents it then a showroom that has all kinda rubbish, you can almost bet money on it that the retailers will change drastically :(

That's Australia, right? I can't say I know the Australian showrooms all that well. Which showroom did they use back in the Four Marketing days of Superfine?

forwardforward by revolve.
brownsfashion are two good online sources.
shopbop has some too.

I bought my first Superfine jeans today and I love them. Besides Levis they are the first jeans that really fit me. The style is slouchy jean in black and the best is that I only had to pay 20 Euros for them (thanks to TK Maxx).
I will definitely look for different styles in the future.

I noticed lots of cheap Superfine jeans on both asos.com (in the Outlet section) and on designertribes.com - I am guessing they are older styles, but still very cheap.

I finally bought myself some Superfine jeans this week ^_^
-Harry in bronze ()
-Liberty in pearl (wow! super skinny on my calves!)
-Crops in night

I also tried on a few different pairs in my local TKMaxx about two weeks ago.. the "Work" or is it "Worker" ? "Blondie" and "Max"
So I think I'll go back and see if I can get a hold of the Blondie pair that I tried on, since I love the ankle zippers.

I checked out their lookbook, and the new styles are gorgeous
