Unsafe at any height! There's not enough arch support for the heel phase, and too much for the flat. It is the universal shoe: painful at all heights.


I predict a rash of Collapsing Heel lawsuits if anyone is so foolish as to bring it into the market.

We have 'Scholl Party Feet' in england they about £5 and you put them in your shoes. They like gel pads and their quite comfortable.

good idea. however, it needs some work still. once the heel is folded and you are walking on the flat shoe the heel will get used and wont look that great when the heel is back on,... no?!

it's still sort of ugly. if people are going to be purchasing shoes they should be good looking. although the people would buy thisss type of shoe probably wouldn't care about the asthetics

I think it is placed into the shoe deep enough it won't scratch the ground but unless there is a cover for it, it could all sorts of gross things on it. Anyway I find that design wise it's alright.

How do you know this from a tiny picture? They've been working on this product for over a year, thy are a member of a UK shoe technology organisation and having worked with Faith myself I know they are very strict on quality control. They would never launch a product that might cause injury, mostly for the reasons you outlined.

It looks like they are still some way off launching it, anyway.

I say, great idea. Bring it on!

I like Alejandro's idea of modular, removable screw-in heels better. It does sound potentially dangerous to have a folding heel.

why not just buy scholl party feet! since all your shoes arent going to fold away... and you need different shoes for different outfits

all in all and interesting concept though.

the sole must not be too suportive. if they are maleable enough to make them from a high heel to a flat, they must be weak

I would get EVEN WORSE feet by wearing those. Not to mention it would hurt more-to the point where I'll take my 4" stilettos.
