Tao Okamoto

good for her for her new role. I am not a big fan of her as a model nor actress, but objectively speaking, she can act, was pleasantly surprised of her rendition in Wolverine.

Congrats to Tao! More recognition for her, please.

Love her look, very interesting. Especially incorporating the Kimono piece.

Older clip. But it would be fun seeing Tao in a comedy or romcom. :magic: I could see her playing that kind of role.

I'd never heard of her before now but she has such a lovely look. The first thing I thought when I saw a photo of her was 'aw!'.

Congrats to Tao on her Woman of the Year award. She deserves it as she branched out quite successfully this year and added movies to her CV while maintaining a good modeling carreer.

Interview and movie http://www.moussy.ne.jp/moussyjeans/movie/

Born in 1985, from Chiba, Japan. Became model at age of 14. Debuted in Autumn and Winter Paris Collection in 2006, moved to New York in 2009. The mushroom haircut called “TAO hair” became widely noticed as her iconic sign. Not only as a model, plays a role in “Wolverine: SAMURAI” released in 2013, and “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” expected to release in 2016 as an actress.

——Working as a model, do you have hard times? And how do you stand up from it?
Looking back over the past 15 years, fashion week was always the hardest thing. I had my hair cut short to stand out from other Asian models. Since then, I could start building my own signature. I've always tried not to limit myself.

——MOUSSY is celebrating its 15th anniversary this year. What have you done or felt in this 15 years?
It was my 15th anniversary last year since my debut as a model. 15 years ago, I never thought of living in NY.

——What is your favorite MOUSSY item?
Jeans! I like what I’m wearing now, this soft and comfortable jacket.

——What inspires you the most when you are at work (modeling)?
Many things inspire me, but maybe travelling. I think it is a luxury experience but it keeps me motivated. The last vacation I took was to Cambodia and Vietnam, it gave me a lot of inspirations.

——What is your favorite movie?
Three of my favorite movies are “BIG FISH”, “Life Is Beautiful”, and “Grease”. I also read Japanese novels of Haruki Murakami, Manabu Makime and Shion Miura the most.

——Can you give a message to Chinese and Japanese fans?
Hello. My name is TAO. I’m shooting MOUSSY’s new campaign today. The images are so great, please enjoy them!
