what she needs is a good hair cut and maybe a dark color hair, something that will make her edgy. the girl is beyond gorgeous, but if she plans in staying high fashion, she'll need to switch it up a bit.

Theres plenty more classically gorgeous girls in high fashion.. I dont find taryn that classically gorgeous I think she has an edge to her..but thats only MY opinion..

), and still every bit a teenager. She smiles a lot in her candids. Not the forced, awkward smile, but a natural, innately joyful smile. In spite of all the pressure of this industry, she still has that radiant glow.
Beauty, as is fashion, is predicated upon one's perception or value for an aesthetic. Taryn's a model, and while some may see fit to pigeon-hole her and every other girl into one category or another, I don't think she needs to change up her look or wardrobe. They're who she is, not who some may want her to be. If her management thought it necessary to change her look, then we'd see a change. Regarding the wardrobe, I think her personal style is fine, though I'm certain for casting and professional appearances she dresses accordingly.
I won't hide my disappointment that we've seen so little of Taryn on the runway this season, but XavierRaphael pointed out that she was working, so we definitely have something to look forward to. We should remember that since Taryn debuted at Calvin Klein SS 08, she had 3 very solid subsequent seasons (45 shows in FW 08, 51 in SS 09 and 34 in FW 09.) She was at McQueen, Chloe, Lanvin and Nina Ricci for each pret a porter season from SS 08 through FW 09. We can lament that she hasn't had the campaigns we'd like her to have...and unfortunately sometimes those hopes just don't pan through. Tell that to thousands of models who share similar disappointments. There have certainly been girls who entered the industry after Taryn, and aren't in it any more. She has had very solid editorial work and a runway resume that other girls could only dream of in just the past 2 years - all while being a student and then finishing up school this past spring.
She's taken a leap of faith to see where she can go this year. I haven't abandoned her, and I have every hope that she disproves all those who discount her beauty and capability.

Taryn did the Joe Fresh show in Toronto yesterday, and I chatted with her beforehand. If it will put to bed some of the bizarre speculation in recent posts, she looks fantastic. She still has full lips, great cheekbones, tight abs and long, straight legs.
And, yes, she looks healthy.
