I remember V&A did a fashion session with these designer twins. Mini bio taken from the lfw website:
After showing in Milan for two seasons Tata-Naka make a welcome return to the LFW runways this February. Identical twins Tamara and Natasha Surguladze began Tata-Naka, their respective nicknames, in 2000 on leaving Central St Martins. The rich heritage and childhood memories of their upbringing in the former Soviet Georgia are consistent sources of inspiration naming their company
To the girls, Georgia evokes nostalgia and fantasy; memories of the faded rose print wall in their grandmas sitting room; a special place and time, once grand and beautiful, now part of a faded splendid past that sits alongside great hopes & expectations for the future. In mirror of this inspiration the label Tata-Naka comes in two parts, Stolen Memories & Tata-Naka - Stolen Memories special, often one off pieces full of charm, decoration and vintage nostalgia is teamed with the Tata-Naka collection , pieces featuring forward looking clever cut, often dramatic tailoring and challenging fabric treatments. Mena Suvari, Helena Bonham Carter, Cameron Diaz and Sarah Jessica Parker are all fans.
They have expanded their successful, quirky jewellery collection and will launch a small menswear line this season.
