When I look at this thread, it gives me painful memories of how I was at the age... At that age, everyone is just trying to figure out who they are and what style represents them... Its such an awkward age. My fiance dressed like a punk as an adolescent and I basically as sl*tty as I could get away with. We have a pact to never show each other pictures of our adolescent confusion. She might be pushing the limits a bit here but I say hold the judgement until she is a wee bit older. We all go through bad moments but us lucky unfamous people get to do it in private.

But that's the point- she is a public personality and young, somewhat successful people in the ultra competitive entertainment industry can't afford to act like crazy, out of control brats and crank off everyone they deal with!! She is not some Oscar winning actress who packs movie houses- she's a somewhat talented kid starting out with a lot to prove, and she is ruining her chances of becoming anything but a local band member playing clubs in the East Village!! My God- the press is already giving her the Lindsay Treatment- "Did you see what she pulled this time??" What sort of future does that get her, especially when she's still so young??

She'll get whatever she deserves... maybe she'll come out of it, maybe she won't... but I am not going to consider her a success or a disaster until she is older. I'm not really defending her... I am pretty pessimistic about her future and I don't really see the attraction of her as a celebrity. And she certainly doesn't deserve a free pass for her behavior. But I felt like someone had to point that she is human and she is a teenager... she is just that age.
