I really like it when it almost looks like a halfboot (I might not make any sense) with a stiletto heel.. kind of like the pair Taylor Momesn is wearing here:
I never really liked these back in the mid-late 1990s. Usually, I'm tied to slip-on comfort. I've honestly never really liked (much different from hate, mind you) lace-up sandals. It's a different style of sandal, but not different enough to put me in awe. I tend to like the second picture in Post #1 the most of any picture so far. It's something I'd yay if this was "Shoes: Yay or Nay?"
I'm a bit undecided on this one to be honest, I saw a pair in another thread that someone had made by removing the tongues from a pair of boots which looked pretty cool, but then some of the other ones in this thread look a bit... trashy.
The flat Junya Watanbe ones are pretty cool... they'd go nicely with a pair of harem pants I reckon.
I'm really loving some of these. especially the marc jacobs one, the givenchy ones, and the junya one. Some really do appear trashy, like the ones little J is wearing. (Not fond of that half boot look!) But I guess it really just depends on how the designer styles it, like many other shoes out there.
