Taylor Momsen is a huge fan of the British high street.
The 'Gossip Girl' star - who recently became the new face of UK chain New Look - believes shops in Britain totally catered for her style, which she described as "grunge-meets-Chanel".
The 16-year-old actress said: "I guess it's a kind of Goth look. Some might say eclectic, but I just like to look kind of messy, really. I was in London recently and I really rate your high street."
Speaking of New Look, Taylor said she was a huge fan of their dresses, which is why she couldn't say no to being a part of such a great brand.

She said: "I really love their dresses - they're so easy to customize to your own look. I've been wearing a New Look white top as a little dress, but I especially love their flower-print dresses."

Taylor also said she had a huge influence on her character's fashion choices in 'Gossip Girl', which have recently seen her alter-ego Jenny transform herself from a preppy innocent schoolgirl to a rock chick.
She told Look magazine: "I was only 13 when I started on the show so obviously I had to wear what they wanted. I was a goth girl at school, so I couldn't really bring in my own style for Jenny, could I?

"A lot of people styled my look and I used to hate getting criticised for wearing something I didn't choose, so I started dressing myself for events. The producers noticed and wanted to incorporate that into Jenny's wardrobe, so I was very lucky. Now if someone doesn't like what I'm wearing, I don't care."

just read an interview of taylor's in this weeks look magazine, there's a couple of quotes i just had to share with you guys

Look: What are Blake and Leighton like? Are you friends?
Taylor: I don't hang out with the cast outside of work, but we get along on a professional level.

L: Your gossip girl character Jenny has transformed from preppy and innocent to rock chick - how much influence did you have over that change?

L: What do you wear onstage with your band?
T: A version of what I normally wear, but exaggerated. I'll even wear straight out lingerie, sometimes I wish I could wear less.

Well, I just finished watching Season One and was very impressed with her...but now she seems to be determined to turn everybody off since making herself well regarded back then...Every time I go to a Broadway show, it is amazing how many talented kids there are around trying to get some sort of break in show business- how sad to see Taylor get there and turn her back on fans, media, etc...curious...

But then, I guess there are people around who prefer an endless stream of 'I like her purse'- or so it seems...
