Even with a second-week sales drop of nearly 70 percent,
Taylor Swift will still easily top the
Billboard 200 with her
third album, Speak Now. After moving an impressive million-plus in its debut,
Now's second-week sales of 320,000 easily beat the debut of country singer
Jason Aldean's
My Kinda Party, which comes in at #2 on next week's chart with sales of 193,000, according to figures provided by Nielsen SoundScan.
And, in just two weeks, Swift has already slipped into fifth place on the list of best-selling albums of the year, with nearly 1.4 million copies blowing out the door. The top 10 featured three other debuts, including a #4 bow from
Mariah Carey's
Merry Christmas II You (55,000),
Neil Diamond's
Dreams (#8, 35,000) and
Brad Paisley's
Hits Alive (#9, 31,000).
