Teen Vogue August 2014 : Kesha by Giampaolo Sgura

I like this cover. It's not what I expected to see.

I think some of you are being a bit too hard on her, she's just a singer and her music is meant to be fun and not to be taken too seriously, besides there's many other celebrities who are far worse when it comes to being a role model for teens.

Actually I think this is a good Teen Vogue cover and Kesha is a great subject. I mean she changed her identity and seek help to solve her own struggles. At least it's a great subject that a teen magazine should also focus on other than fashion and beauty.

I don't know, as HeatherAnne said this magazine's audience is girls aged 10-16 I expect, and I don't know if it's a good idea to have her as a cover subject considering this. I mean, whether it's the message lyrics of her songs deliver and the lifestyle she imposes/imposed through them or the various problems she has faced with her life, I don't think it's a good idea to expose her to the tween group who enjoys reading this magazine. It's really good of her to clear up/face her problems and get treatment, but at this time, right after her departure from rehab, is it really a good idea to shower girls with such problems with a psychiatric extent?

the cover is great! the styling is very appropriate and Kesha looks so good

I haven´t read her interview but imo it´s great that they´re doing this. Teens nowadays are exposed to a lot, treating them more like adults with adults problems is the right thing to do (even for 10 years old) because the magazine would phrase the story in a way that is appropiate.
Specially with a story like Kesha´s, it could be very helpful.
