I have a confession to make: I didn’t prepare for my interview with Amandla Stenberg. Though we had never met, from the outside looking in, I recognized her so deeply that I didn’t think I’d need to. That said, I hesitate to call her an activist, as she's referred to on the cover. Unless there's something I don't know, her "activism" is limited to making a couple of tweets and a video for a class project that ended up going viral? Maybe I'm missing something...

Amy has been doing an amazing job at Teen Vogue. I never thought I would see the title " Best make up for dark skin" in a high profile fashion magazine. She constantly impresses me with her cover choices.
