i was wondering how long it would be before someone started this thread...

thanks lady bird...
i saw some pieces last weekend at jeffrey's in nyc...and the whole section at the dover st market...

sometimes i find the heel a bit chunky and dated...but it basically looks like prada/miumiu are completely ripping this guy off...so i think it's great that he's having such a strong comeback and kudos to rei kawakubo for supporting it...!!!...

here's the link to his site...

I saw a programme, 'Trouble at the Top' about his comeback which introduced me to his work. It showed him trying to contact Miu Miu about the rip-offs, but to no avail. I love the chunkiness, materials and layers of the shoes and supposedly there very comfortable.

The third picture shows a shoe with a Spring-O-Lator, a tensioned insole that keeps it on your foot instead of flapping. That was the hot stuff in the 1950's, but quickly migrated down to the trailer-park and back-alley crowd. Admittedly, those old ones looked nothing like this!

as a few of you may already know, i love tdh....
i'm glad someone started this thread..if not, i definitely would've ;)

i really love this pair...old faithful

the spring-o-lator is a really great idea... i really don't like it when mules flap around when you're walking :yuk:

brian...would you please post the link to the other shoes he did ...was it for office in london?...i don't remember...but i think it definitley needs to be here...

thanks!!..xx

So, there is no thread on Terry de Havilland!!! Both Kate Moss & Sienna Miller have been seen wearing them...Of course Kate was seen wearing them way before Sienna and she wore them better :p

OKAY, TRUCE!!

Anyway, what do you ladies and gents think about these shoes? The red boots are $495, gold platforms are $595, the gold/silver evening heels are $410, the fiorella is $495, last pair LOLA is $700....

worth the $$$$ or not?

(credit terrydehavilland website for all shoe pictures, okay mag for sienna picture, and vogue for kate moss picture)

I love all of his shoes.
I have a couple of pairs, and my miu miu ones were what started off his resurgence!
In the UK, we also have d'havz which are his diffusion style ones. I have these in red and brown. Have attached the piccies for you :)

I love the silver ones sienna is wearing, and also the blue pair in the voque scan. I kind of like the red booties but would preffer a high set back heel. I have the miu miu rip offs of the blue ones, but in silver

Holding them in my hand here..

gg: thanks for posting!! you look fabulous!!

chloe babe: i love all your TDH shoes. what price range is the diffusion line?

it's funny i have only one pair of nine west gold wedges that i bought in college and that i always get insane compliments on...after seeing TDH shoes, i came to realize they are an exact TDH copy too.

The diffusion line pairs are 90 pounds each.

The original ones start at about 260 pounds so not too bad for gorgeous babies :D
