i like the rivington best myself...in the lower east side...
and the maritime isn't bad either...in chelsea

i like the maritime ok..esp for the coffee that you can get w/ room service..i mean i've only ordered caps so far..but the menu for breakfast looks decent. only thing is..if you stay at the maritime, you might want earplugs if your room looks out on the bar area and it's semi warm outside.

i only just saw your post about rivington and maritime.. love the rivington too.. but i think i really need to be amongst some "crowd" when im in NYC and as much as i despise the soho grand the location just does it for me...
since i went to derek lams showroom i was sort of put off the meatpacking district.

so annoyed the mercer is full.
any other recommendations in soho?

okay it's so not glamourous or anything but I've staid at the Chelsea Inn in Chelsea (46 W. 17th Street).. And I liked it. It's right next to a gay bar but I never had trouble sleeping or anything. Plus you get free breakfast at Nana's Cafe. Just an idea

i think 60 thompson is also nice if you want to be near/in soho...
or tribeca grand isn't far either...

Sunday, however, I am going to Lela Rose, Naem Kahn and Tuleh all in the Tents.
