TFS Fashion Week Attendees...

Oh, I got invites to a whole ton of shows, but Im only attending after parties. So far, definately going to Marchesa, Proenza Schouler, Marc Jacobs (the show & party)...Im contemplating Marc Jacobs, I dont know if it's too...be seen for my taste. Noone elses parties are worthwhile...(only if I lived in Paris; Dior & Chanel parties)

Im soo not concerned w/ what Im going to wear, I think a black turtleneck w/ jeans and my Sambas

Yes and no depends on the show. 99% of the time the addressee is also on a list that is double checked against the RSVP

lol!!! im sooo tired....Cabeene was cool! Ill wait until tomorrow for more action....im too sleepy for the Lacoste party *sigh*

^JJ I am 85% sure that I saw you at Valenxiana...

hmmm...don't know if i have any shows tomorrow. so far i've been to alice ritter, gustavo arango...lol i forgot to rsvp to venexiana, but didn't think much of it...until i saw the crowd! could NOT believe it...

did they really think no one would come? they must have invited EVERYONE. oh well..i wasn't too sad about missing that one haha

Guys, I have a question I know I am no one to talk about NY or Paris shows since I have never been to one. But, I was wondering why is every runway in NY usually white, besides MJ or others who decide to be different and Paris seems so much more theatrical. Is it set in stone that if you show in New York you must do it under the tents. I mean I know I would I want a big production of a show if I were a designer with backing. and its not like their being cheap cause I heard that shows are expensive.

After waiting forever to check in and receiving standing...Not all of the people with standing invites made it in, myself included...Not that the Rock & Republic show was any better clothing wise, I prob would have had more fun going there...And I think they did invite everyone, when Mao used to handle PR for them, it was more like a "friends & family" type of show, as opposed to real legit industry people...But it goes to show where some of these PR houses priorities are.

Most of the NY shows are in the tents in Bryant Park so they really cannot do anything crazy since within an hour there is another show there. However, in Paris and Milan there isn't a central venue really so people can rent out a place for a week to create a huge and elaborate set.

Shows

I was invited by my mother-in-law to go to the Gustavo Arango's and Jason Brundson's fashion shows because she works with them. On Saturday, Gustavo presented his collection on the West side (which hasn't been posted in tfs), and I did not go because I had just landed in NYC from Philly and I only wanted to hang out in bed with my boyfriend ...I felt like a bad fashion lover. And Thursday I won't go to the Brundson show because I'm in college back in Philly! Ugh.
