tFS mix tape/cd project!

ooo, I know I've missed the deadline by seven light years sorry sorry sorry sorry! But around where I live, finding a blank CD is harder than getting your hands on a piece of the true cross. But I've finally done it, I've accomplished the impossible, I have laid my hands on a blank CD, so I'm writing it tonight and I promise to send it off tomorrow, so my partner should receive it pretty darn soonB)

i'm super bummed...i haven't received any mix yet..still no word from the august trade (and i know the user is around, i've seen his posts) nor from september yet...i know it's still early for september, and i'm hoping it didn't get lost or something bad at customs! canada is tricky.

please please when you receive your mix, could you let your person know so that they are assured that you've gotten it? you don't have to tell us, if you don't want, just let them know so they know. thank you

this is really frustrating! is it true that only a handful of us from both rounds have gotten our mixes? unless people are getting them and just not posting, i think only like, 10 or so have gotten a mix. this is a horrible average!

please PLEASE. if you don't think you can commit the time to make a mix DO NOT SIGN UP. making a mix and sending it out should take no longer than 3 hours at the most. if you can't or won't commit to 3 hours a month to make a mix, don't sign up. if you do sign up but don't make a mix, that means that you're denying someone else a mix, even though you still might get one. it's not fair to anyone else, and it really saddens me (and everyone else for that matter). so PLEASE. if you don't think you have the time, do not sign up. thank you so much.

also: who your match is is not up for debate. you can't switch or just not make one if you don't like who you get (by this i mean - not that you dislike them but you're not comfortable with making a mix for that person for whatever reason: you're afraid they won't like your music, etc). i wanted to do this project with the idea that members would get to hear music that they're not familiar with from another part of the world. the point is NOT to make a mix for someone who likes the exact type of music. don't worry about that...put on what YOU like, make sure YOU love it and i can pretty much promise that we will love it too.

i'm really sorry for this rant. i promise i'm not mad! i'm so happy that there is so much enthusiasm for this project and i just really want it to work and for everyone to be happy.
