ok, then again i must confess that i am like 4 behind but as i said before - all the late ones are getting 2 cds instead of just one...i'm trying to compensate but they're all burned, i just need to make covers. and i'm going to send them out this week, i promise!

i guess we should start the may matching, hm? has everyone sent their email in? we'll get to it in the next few days and you'll have your matches by week's end!

i just checked our mailbox and noticed that only one of you has signed up...if you're not on default (if you aren't sure, you're probably not - just send another email just in case) you won't get put in the trade. please be sure to send an email if you want in for MAY sometime this week so estella and i can make the matches by the weekend. you only have a month to send out the mix (even though i know we all extend our deadlines...) so the longer we wait, the less time we have to make PERFECT mixes!

Strawberry, I'm so glad you enjoyed it!

and for a few retroactive liner notes - the haiku songs are setting of poems by George Seferis, a Greek poet, basically i know about him as a side character in the wonderful, gossipy Henry Miller/Lawrence Durrell correspondence. it's kind of surreal, the melding of eras, but i think it works!
and if you don't know the 'trinity sessions' album by the cowboy junkies, it's a really great one...
(and i couldn't resist putting the icelandic lullaby sung by bjork, to sum up my theme)

ARGH ARGH!! I love Seferis. Actually I am a Durrell obsessive (actually I changed my name to Lawrence when I was about 18 for the space of a few months [i'm a girl] because when I say obsessive I aint kidding! Still miss being called Larry *sigh) and came across Seferis (and also Theodore's poetry) via them. What are these songs? Please enlighten me!
