I have finished the mix i am making (I think)! I worked on it all weekend (instead of all of the things i should've been doing...) and it was a blast! Something about making a mix has my mind going "Love Me! Love Me! Like Me! Accept Me!" - even when making it for a stranger... but those are my own demons, i suppose.

I hope the recipient isn't disappointed in my simple tastes and what turned out to be a somewhat giddy mix. I was a bit intimidated with the artists they liked - not having heard of most of them and some of them not really being my bag.

Thanks to all involved! I can't wait to get mine.

I think it would be especially interesting, and also gives some direction. I know I've found it hard trying to focus in on a small number of tracks... and I think restrictions could help...

I like the idea of themes a lot, but not geographical - which i think was mentioned before. I think i'd be at a disadvantage in that case.

I think it'd be cool to do a "covers" collection. I was listening to David Bowie doing a version of "White Light White Heat" the other day and thought that might be fun to do.

But i feel kind-a new here and don't want to interject unwantedly. So whatever the majority and/or mods decide i'm all for. I would be happy just to be included!

fugfashion, the 2nd round (which we are currently doing - september) will not have a theme...we're thinking the seasons theme for the 3rd round (october).
