^ You should do a "soundtrack to your life", like if a film were to be made about you, which songs would you have to which events in your life? I'm definitely squashing a spice girls song on there somewhere:innocent:

BRILLIANT!

^I was just going to say that mine would definitely have a Spice Girls song on it.. B)

So i come home today, after a rather crappy day and find a package in my mailbox. The name, for some reason, looks familiar to me and i know immediately what it is. It's my October mix, and it's from none other than Cosette!

For me, this is just perfect! To be completely honest, if i had to pick who i was to get a mix from it would've been Cosette without hesitation.

So here's the tracklisting:

"En Hiver"

James Horner - Playing a Game of "Go"
Clinic - Mr. Moonlight
Julie Doiron - Wintermitts
Pink Martini - Song of the Black Suan
The Veils - Lavinia
Secret Machines - The Leaves Are Gone
Mogwai - I Know You Are But What Am I?
The Standard - Even Numbers
+;- - All I Do
Arvo Part - Summa
Julie Doiron - Snowfalls In November
Wolf Parade - Modern World
Woven Hand - The Good Hand
Jolie Holland - Old Fashioned Morphine
The Veils - The Nowhere Man
The Velvet Underground - Pale Blue Eyes
Tom Waits - Singapore
Jon Brion - Strings That Tie You

The cover is just beautiful (i should scan it!), the note sweet, and the music just divine. I like all of it and love most of it. It was a rather strange day - crappy day at work and come home to the joy of receiving the mix, am so excited that i end up going to school forgetting my homework, get to school and class is canceled (shew!) which gives me more time to enjoy the CD before the next class which ended up having a substitute that rambled about racism and the justice system (or "just us" as he referred to it) and it's my birthday. I guess sometimes 1 + 1 = 3.

And you were right, Cosette - Julie Doiron was definitely standout. I think i've listened to "Snowfalls In November" 12 times so far. GORGEOUS. I think my favorite song on it is "The Leaves Are Gone". I'm still absorbing it all though. There are many artists on here which i will definitely be exploring more thoroughly.

So thanks Cosette (Sarah) for making my day! :flower:

Now i am off to enjoy 2 of my favorite words which work well side-by-side: audio bliss.
