Glad you liked it! At some point I'll send you a more me one! It was a little more commercial than I'd have liked but as Nicholas Ghesquiere had proven -if you ain't makin any money, you better change the tone

Sent mine out today! Although the mail guy said it would take a week and a half to arrive :ninja:

K, random, but is it safe to use acrylic/oil paints on CDs? Does this make them unsafe to play? Does it ruin them?

secondly, this is not a good idea for at least three reasons.

One, the pigment may interact chemically with the CD surface, ruining the CD.

Two, the paint will add weight unevenly to the CD surface, causing rotational instability and tracking errors (and a very noisy playback.)

Three, worst of all, this could damage or ruin the CD player itself.

If you want to have a "painted" CD, the safe/affordable route is to get an inkjet printable CD and print your artwork on it that way. I know it's not satisfying to a painter, but you are dealing with a whole other technology here, and it is not very forgiving.

Argh. I still don't know how to sign up.

Waukon73... if you haven't found out yet go to the page before, Francesca posted the contact email address and how to sign up... :flower:

Ah I love you Estella! Got this a couple of days ago. The tracks are amazing. I particularly liked the Hot Patti Smith Group and the Jaqueline Du Pre caught me by surprise and blew me away. I am not a classical listener but I got the same sort of honest buzz from her that I used to get from the Libertines. Oh and your cover far far outdid mine! It is actually cardboard and probably won't fall apart like mine :p

01:Jaqueline Du Pre: Bach Cello Suite
02:The Vines: Factory
03:L7: Shore
04:Jaqueline Du Pre: Bach Cello Suite (cont...)
05:The Delays: Hang On Sloopy
06:Adam And The Ants: Kings Of The Wild Frontier
07:Jaqueline Du Pre: Bach Cello Suite (cont...)
08:The Libertines: The Last Post On The Bugle
09:Jaqueline Du Pre: Bach Cello Suite (cont...)
10:The Violent Femmes: Add It Up
11:The Hot Patti Smith Group: To Be A [Rock N' Roll Star]
12:Jaqueline Du Pre: Bach Cello Suite (cont...)
13:Jaqueline Du Pre: Bach Cello Suite (cont...)
14:Hole: Rock Star [Alternative Version]

As far as I know I am not signed up for Febuary. Is this right or have I just overlooked the email?

estella - i have to say that your mix for ms. sienna gave me an attack of nostalgia! it's like a snapshot of my early 'teens... i went to h.s. with the singer (g.g.) from violent femmes - their sound is my old neighborhood vibe, distilled; and j.du pre was my idol (yes, i'm a cellist)...
and then of course there's vintage ant and patti!
how funny that you're somewhere on the other side of the world, but how nice!
