Wow she looks amazing in every single black dress in the Essence spread, she should wear all of them to events especially the Gucci which is my favorite too!

She looks spectacular in the Essence scans. Thank you!! I always buy the mag, and the one with Thandie is the Hollywood issue filled with wonderfully glam pics of today's top black actors. Jennifer Hudson looks especially good...

It is I guess. There aren't that many big chatshows in Britain - Johnathan Ross would be the other big chatshow. Parkinson is soooooo boring (he's like a grandad, asks very dull questions, always flatters the guests and allows them to big themselves up), but he's big coz he gets big stars on the shows and he's been around forever so people like the familiarity.

 Yeah he is dull and asks very safe questions....which is how he gets people like Tom Cruise on his show. Wish I'd seen Thandie on there :(

LF!. The pic caption says Thandie is on the set of the Adam Sandler flick "Little Nicky"-but I thought she wasn't in that movie. IMDB doesn't list it as one of her credits. Anyone?

Thandie on parky was strange she totally never said anything to Noel Edmunds the other person in the picture, could have said something but did not, it was very odd, Thandie was there selling her product, like everyone else, if you look on the parky site there is a transcript of the show.

This is from an article in today's Daily Mail. It is written by make-up artist Kay Montano who did Thandie's makeup for the BAFTA's. Thought it might interest some people.:flower:

For the Baftas, Thandie asked Giles Deacon to design a gown for the evnt and boy, did he deliver. This raised the beauty bar and I had no choice but to go to town with the makeup. Apart from Revolution Tinted Body Moisturiser by DuWop to bronze her decolletage and arms, Thandie's entire makeup-look was created using Chanel cosmetics, as the pigments pick up beautifully on film.
I began by warming her skin with Vitalumiere in Natural and applied Natural Finish Loose Powder in Peche more generously than usual to hold the look for the Miramax party. I used Reflex brush along her cheekbones.
I applied the taupe colour from the Desert Rose eyeshadow duo over the lid and beneath the eye, blending outward. Then, using a black eye pencil, I drew a line close to the lashes and applied River light eyeshadow onto the entire lid, blending outwards towards the top of the ear. Evergreen eyeliner was applied on the inner rim and Mac's black liquid liner was applied in a tick to define the shape. The finishing touch was lashings of Inimitable mascara.
For perfect pouts, go over the edge of the lips using a foundation sponge and set with powder. I combined Thandie's perfectly matte, caramel skin with Glossimer lipgloss in Unity.
For her hair, Kerry Warn applied two John Frieda products: frizz-ease 5-minute manager and Moisture Barrier spray. Finally Sheer Blonde Wax Shine was used to tame Thandie's baby hairs.

Hollywood actress describes her mini-breakdown
Thandie Newton seems to have it all. She's one of the world's most beautiful women and enjoys an A-list lifestyle with husband Oliver Parker and their two lovely daughters.
and their two lovely daughters.

But the 34-year-old actress hasn't always had such a perfect life. At 22, after splitting with film director John Duigan – who she met at 16 when he was 40 – she had a breakdown.

'I don't think I'd say a nervous breakdown,' she says, 'because that would mean hospitalisation, but I was very… I had a lot of shame, shame for leaving someone I once believed was everything.'

Two painful and unhappy love affairs followed, but she was able to leave the 'dark place' in her life when she met Oliver in 1997. They married a year later.

'I felt like a victim for such a long time,' Thandie tells Stella magazine. 'I used to think: "All that stuff in my past is so huge", but it's paled to absolutely nothing now.'

Actress Thandie Newton fought to change the plight of her character in Will Smith's new film The Pursuit Of Happyness - because she couldn't portray a mother who would just give up a child.

The mother of two plays the former wife of homeless father-turned-business tycoon Chris Gardner in the new movie, but couldn't believe her real-life character was really such a terrible mother.
In the film, Newton's character gives up on her struggling husband and dumps him with their young son - something the actress struggled with.
She says, "In rehearsals the director said, 'I'm sorry Thandie. She's just a b***h,' and I said, 'That didn't make any sense.'
"No one leaves their kids unless there's psychological dysfunction there and we couldn't have four scenes where that's not suggested."
Newton reveals even the movie's lawyers got involved when she attempted to tweak the script to help her come to terms with her character's decision to walk out on her family.
She adds, "It was a hard one."

sheer blonde wax shine to tame thandie's baby hairs? -- hmmm...call me a dummy but i wouldn't have thought to use any of the sheer blond products on other types of hair.
