All the fashion weeks have now ended and one trend that stayed on my mind during all of them was the 60's...especially in Paris. Some examples:

I think thats interesting. I never really noticed it until you pointed it out-especially in the coats. i think baker hats/biker hats are very tired. good eye

The loafer look is also a favorite at YSL, and Luella also:

I adore:heart: the sixties! That's why I like a lot the last Dior collection (not being a fan of galliano before). But I prefer the swinging London thing more than that glamourous 60's thing you've posted.

Loving this!!

Could this lovely dress be regarded as sixties style?

Yes. That is totally 60's. I can see Peggy Moffitt (sp) donning that dress with her Vidal Sassoon bob.

Ahh...the sixties definitely DO seem to be semi-theme in a lot of fall shows. I'm scared, because frankly I don't like 60's fashion, at all. Give me old 30's-50's feminine glamour with lots of luxe details anyday (without some of the excess overkill of the look that we've been seeing lately...)

I thought the retro-thing whatever will be over... But dior HC was nice collection with '60 inspiried coats .

More 60's outfits....it really is in the coats so it seems...

i think the influence is subtle....
i would like to see a stronger influence w/out getting costume-y.

im with meg on the hats..

^It's definitely I subtle influence, which is good. When the 60's thing is overdone, it can look pretty stupid. But, I really like how the designers used it this season. However, I agree that is could be a little stonger.

yreah, i really love 60's fashion but i cringe every time i see a mod style redux...just looks like bad costumes...or reminds me of the early 90's.

i love the coats and jackets tho'.....i just brought out my vintage tapestry coat :woot: actually its from 69 i think so i guess it would be more towards 70's

I agree, about both.

I used to really like thous hats, now I hate them.

I'm not shr we will see a strong 60's influence until world conditions improve, becuase the clothes are more baout forword thinking as where now I think every one wants to be pretty and safe.

Balenciaga did a very sixties feeling collection this season. This look especially, the shape of the coat with the crochet tights and suare-toed pumps just seemes very 60's.

these looks as well are very 60's, due mainly to the A-line cut, but it's done subtley which keeps it from looking retro.
