Style.com comes with the kimono trend, but admit that it isn't the kimono alone. Everything Asian is hot for S/S 06 and prob will be for F/W 0607 too. Some examples that style.com gave us:

love love love it. thanks for the scrumptuous pictures mr dale.:flower:

I hope that this trend takes off in the wake of the memoirs of geisha film. the shapes and fabrics are just beautiful.

as far as it being wearable though...I don't know... it's a bit "dressed up" for me, so I've always had a bit of a hard time wearing it without looking like I was going to a black-tie. doesn't mean I don't love it though.

I've had a love of kimonos for such a long time, and the spring collections/Memoirs really rekindled it. Even though it was a trend on the womens runways for spring, it seemed to have carried over to the fall mens runways, which is fine by me!

i like it, i think rick owens did it at its best in a way that doesnt look overwhemlingly cliched or outdated.

Very chic... I think kimonos are very pretty... But I would never wear one myself.... ...really not my style. :ninja:

nice. its a lot more modern than how it was done previous seasons. its very modern

What if it were all black? ;)

not buying. i think this is just too ornate and in-your-face for me, however the the lanvin dress is a brilliant classic take on the geisha silhouette.
