The Best & Worst Catwalkers

Raquel and Natasha have always been neck and shoulders when it comes to leg-snapping catwalk. However, best in that Versace show is without a question Raquel. Natasha was holding back a lot.

Caroline wasn't her usual best. I was expecting her regular horse stomp. Behati was killing it.

The not-so-good:

Those newbies who sleep-walk among those Versace goddesses with the dead expression. Oh my gawd, I want Raquel to hold and yell at each one of them "I was rooting for you! WE WERE ALL ROOTING FOR YOU! HOW DARE YOU!"

I agree with every word of this! I even posted in the Natasha thread that she's toned down her walk too much!

And that last paragraph is hilarious! I hope they were in awe of Raquel backstage and started practising more! Especially Gigi who needs all the help she can get. She reminds me of The Face episode were Naomi bursts out laughing at that girls walk and can't stop and ends up crying! I can imagine most people in this forum laughing when Gigi ended up walking in between Raquel and Natasha.

And thanks to these threads, I discovered Isis Bataglia. Her walk was so good!!

Natalie @ Dsquared2 was one of the worst walks I've seen in my life. That's just unprofessional, honestly. The whole show was painful to watch, it's like they were all on Lunesta.

WTF was that, Natalie!! That was A-W-F-U-L, with all the letters. It was like she was sleeping or high . It was so stupid to put her in the show and even after MCB. What a waste. Anyway, Alexandra did it again! she's a great walker.

Oh Lord, Natalie is a mess on the runway we all know but this was her worst appearance ever! She must have been on some drugs she couldn't even walk straight.

Also don't think Alessandra's first outfit was very flattering, it just emphasized her short legs even more.

And what was going on with that weird German soundtrack?

Jesus Christ, they must have noticed that Natalie couldn't walk in those shoes during rehearsal. Why didn't they just cancel her? That was so painful to watch.

^I thought the same. If I were the designer I'll cancel the girl ASAP. Her walk is not the only wrong thing, her complete attitude is terrible, it looks like she's not even interested in walking the show.

Dsquared was really bad… the finale looked like a stroll of kindergarten kids.

missing the old shows with the dramatic stage and glamourous choreography! but i guess nowadays that would be too much asked from the girls or it gets really awkward like at Moschino ^_^

and its not only the walk but also the posing and turn at the end were terrible. some girls looked like they forgot something midway so they would just turn straight and walk back without even looking to the cameras.

i dont expect the new girls too have a walk like the veterans (it just wont happen) but at least bring up some professionalism to transmit the shows vibe/mood! there just has to be some difference between a Versace and Jil Sander show...

that said, i think Alexandra is at least trying since she's also walking for a lot of different big brands

Nathalie at DS2 - one word -
Intolerable!
she has to pay back her income plus compensation for damage :hardhead:

Yes  and the shoes must have been really uncomfortable because Trentini was fidgety and couldn't hold her pose.

Was so weird seeing Natalie walk so poorly at Dsquared. I was actually blown away by how exquisite her walk was closing Prada. I though she'd done a complete turnaround. Apparently not.

Of the new class of girls, Tami is head and shoulders above the rest. Can't remember the last time she did a show in which she wasn't the best walker.

I'd like to think Raquel was giving her some pointers  umm, also, they are gigantic!! Everyone else is so short.

those shoes were ridiculous though, i remember thinking during the livestream how is anyone going to do a great walk in that  it might be why some girls go very slow (happened at dsquared too) if they had just made the heel a little lower...

Well, after this walk by Natalie I just stop trying to find any logic that the designers have these days.

Seems like nobody cares anymore.

I agree that Tami is just exquisite on the runway. I'd also like to add Nicole Atieno to that - I've said it elsewhere, but she has a walk that betrays her experience. Below is a gif of her walk at Blumarine - keep in mind, that's like, the 3rd show she's done in her entire career! Girl is good.

Oh yes to Nicole! I remember watching her in awe at Gucci. It was an amazing debut similar to Tami's debut at Alexander Wang. She's immaculate in every way but that walk is super next level.

Stella Maxwell is not meant for the runway. She clearly is getting casted because of her social media presence.
